Carson: What can I tell ya? For a Tuesday we've got a jam packed show. Welcome back to Total Request Live here on MTV. The crowd continues to swell, I'm Carson Daly and my next guests, some our favorite people here at MTV the Goo Goo Dolls.
John: Not us again! It's us again!
Carson: It's you again!
John: How are ya?
Carson: You're back! It's good to have you here.
John: We're back.
Carson: Let's um, talk for a quick second here about South Africa, which is where I believe you guys juct got back from a couple days ago. How was that?
John: We opened for Lenny Kravitz. It was big, big rock concert.
Carson: And had you played in South Africa before?
John: No, we had never been there and I didn't realize that it was so far away. We had to fly for like 22 hours to get there.
Carson: And so are the shows similar? The crowd? Or was it like a diffent musical experience? Are they singing the words?
John: To some of the songs, but it's mostly, "boom-chik-a-boom, boom-chik-a-boom, boom-chik-a-boom."
Carson: Right yeah. So did you get a chance to see South Africa like in between show dates?
Robby: Yeah we saw a little bit. Saw some sea lions --
