The Lazy Eye Page

First of all, am I not the most creative person when coming up with page titles? I mean, I feel like I am so deserving of some kind of award. . .

Now, to the real topic at hand, The Lazy Eye Page. . .

After repeated vewings of this video, around number 28, I have come to the conclusion that this, by far is my favorite Goo Goo Dolls video. The concept, the raw egg, climbing, the cube, Rzeznik's hair, eye balls in a glass. . .classic. So this got me thinking, how did this video get to be so cool? After much deliberation I think I have come to my own conclusion, albeit insane. . .Then again, this website tends to be on the insane side 80% of the time. . .Anything is game and if it makes ya laugh, it scores you alot of points. So, here is the Lazy Eye story in pictures. . .

Imagine if you will, a director with very high ambitions. Ambitions for the darkest, coolest, video with a twist that has nothing to do with the Batman and Robin movie, but everything to do with evidence labels, a maiden in distress and the soul purpose for making one, John Rzeznik, look like he has flipped his lid. . .

Opening. . .

All seems well in this quiet, dark room, but wait, evidence!

The easy part, "Do what you do best. Play and sing."

"Now, I'm thinking, you got this great new hair cut. Let's make people take notice, do some cool hand moves!"

"Robby, we have one small task for you. We want you to hold this tiny little book up real quick, we don't want people to know what it says."

"Mike, all we want you to do is play the drums. Play them like you've never played before."

"Ok, you might not agree with this, but I'm thinking a Lazy Eye dance. Ya know, maybe not as popular as the Macarena, but it could catch on. . ."

"That move was good, but I'm thinking crazy!"

"Now depressed!"

"Now big arms like the Backstreet Boys did in the 'I Want It That Way' video!"

"We have got some really great props for this shoot. My daughter made this is in art class last week and I thought, 'perfect!' All I want you to do is just throw it around and act crazy!"

"You're angry now and crazy. Be angry!crazy and throw it!"

"We've got this really cool wall thing with these little holes in it."

"I'm thinking out of the box here. Ya know, kinda on the side to the left of the box, right? Why don't you climb it?!"
